The existence of this photoset was shared with me recently. I was pleased.

One Response to “relevant”

  1. Dennis Osborne Says:

Congratulations! That’s quite a compliment. I assume you’re a celebrity, there. And I’m sure it’s well earned. On top of the honor, it must be reassuring, too, seeing such clear evidence your mind is still afloat.

On a symbolic note, I couldn’t help thinking most of us wish to be respected, appreciated, and understood. Some of us even go out in pursuit of a master with hopes of guidance. If but someone can comprehend what drives us, it’s felt we may be gently steered off the treadmill toward a better path where more depth and meaning may be found. But, sadly, we seldom find such and end up like floating letters, adrift on and surrounded by water molecules, as, ironically, the one thing that can’t be consumed, even as our insoluble invitation beckons out to all. It’s that which can make us feel alone, even when surrounded by friends.

Of course, every now and then, we do spring a leak. And those moments become precious.

I’m confident the artists’ inspiration and efforts were to convey appreciation that you never bore us cause you’re porous. And poor us if you ever stop being so. With that toast, I’ll pass the cup, only adding my compliments to the artists for a job well done. There is only one thing I would have done differently, that I think would have been more representative of the goal and message intended.

    Plop! Plop! Phizz! Phizz!

But, then, perhaps that would have been too much a condensation of life. Far better to sip and appreciate good things in moderation. Let the gods fast forward while we take it slow.
